TSF has three campuses; Szarvas, Békéscsaba and Gyula. All three of the campuses are located in Békés county, in southeastern Hungary on the Great Hungarian Plain.
From Budapest, travel south on the M1 highway to Kecskemét. Then follow the signs toward Békéscsaba on Highway 44. Highway 44 goes from to Kecskemét the Romanian border so you do not have to get off it at all. About an hour after leaving , Kecskemét you will arrive in Szarvas. The TSF-Szarvas campus is immediately after the bridge as you enter town with the Rector.s office to your left and classroom buildings to the right.
Continue south on Highway 44 to get to Békéscsaba. Take the ring road toward Gyula as you arrive at the outskirts of Békéscsaba. Follow the ring road all the way around until you arrive at the roundabout at the end of the ring road. Go right around the roundabout and then immediately right again off the roundabout toward Békéscsaba-Centrum. Go straight about 1 kilometer until you see the Békéscsaba Sports Hall (Sportscsarnok) on your right. There will be a MOL gas station to the left. Turn left as if you were entering the gas station and park in one of the large parking lots to your right adjacent to the gas station. Across the street, with the sports hall behind you, is TSF-Békéscsaba.
(Parking at TSF, as with many schools all over the world, is a nightmare. You can get closer to the campus but because of one way streets, signs you cannot see and left turn prohibitions, it almost impopssible to explain how to get closer!)
To reach Gyula, follow the signs at the roundabout and continue straight ahead on highway 44. Do not follow the signs for Bucharest once you arrive at the outskirts of Gyula but rather continue straight and follow the signs for Gyula-Centrum and the hospital complex. TSF-Gyula is located adjacent to the hospital complex.
To reach TSF from the west and Szeged, follow Highway 47 east until you reach the roundabout at the Békéscsaba ring road, turn north on Highway 44 for Szarvas and east on the ring road for TSF-Békéscsaba and TSF-Gyula.
To reach TSF from the east and Debrecen, follow Highway 47 west until you reach Békéscsaba and then follow the directions above.
Békéscsaba is served by numerous train connections from Budapest, most from Keleti Station. The trains run approximately every hour. Try to take an intercity which requires both a ticket and a prepaid reservation but stops less frequently than normal trains. In Békéscsaba you can connect to a smaller line to Gyula or take a bus.
To get to Szarvas you need to take a train with a destination to Békéscsaba from Keleti station, but you must get off at Mezőtúr (the next station after the major city called Szolnok), and change to a smaller line which takes you to Szarvas.
It is advisable to buy your ticket before you get on the train. The current single fare from Budapest Keleti to Békéscsaba is approximately 15 EUR.
Budapest Airport is called Ferihegy and it has got three terminals: Ferihegy 1 is closer to the city and it serves low-cost or budget airlines. Ferihegy 2A and 2B are located slightly further out of the city and they are used by the other traditional airlines. Before arrival, check which terminal your flight lands at.
